IBM Blockchain Traces Life of Coffee Beans from Farm to Mug

IBM is yet another company deploying its blockchain platform—Starbucks and Microsoft are working on a similar system—to track coffee beans from farm to consumer. So reports Computerworld.

coffee 1291656 1920IBM’s “Thank My Farmer” app is expected to roll out in March and will allow users to scan a QR code designed to trace the coffee beans’ journey. It also allows users to send a small contribution in support of sustainable farming projects on five continents.
