DHS Looking to Blockchain to Replace SSN, Improve Supply Chains

The U.S. Department of Homeland Security’s Silicon Valley Innovation Program said it is on the prowl for companies to engage in “interoperable, blockchain-based anti-counterfeiting projects.” So reports Coindesk.

DHS is looking to fund companies that can effectively apply blockchain technology to bolster supply chains traceability, e-commerce and develop an alternative to Social Security numbers, among other projects.
