Russia Tries Another Blockchain Voting Pilot for State Duma Elections

Russia is planning to use a nationwide blockchain voting system during its September elections. So reports Cointelegraph.

blockchain 3019120 640smallThe system was put together jointly by Waves Enterprise and Rostelecom, the nation’s biggest integrated provider. An earlier attempt at blockchain voting “ended in fiasco” after the system suffered setbacks and faced attacks. That iteration was implemented by another blockchain provider, Bitfury.

Ultimately, the new system will be scaled to handle “tens of millions of users."
