Kik Pivots to Cryptocurrency As Company Faces Legal Battle

Kik Interactive will shut down its messaging app and focus, instead, on its cryptocurrency project Kin. So reports Gizmodo.

The company has been engaged in a legal battle with the Securities and Exchange Commission regarding Kin and what the regulatory agency says was an improper securities offering when it launched in 2017. The company is also planning to reduce staff to 19.
