The study cites eleven attacks featuring the theft of Bitcoin (BTC), XRP, Ethereum (ETH), Litecoin (LTC) and Bitcoin Cash (BCH). The largest of the attacks came as Coinbene saw $105,000,000 in Ethereum-based tokens lifted. To combat exchange thefts, some have advocated for “Proof of Keys” events where holders withdraw assets from exchanges and put them in personal digital wallets in order to protect against hackers targeting exchanges.
