Line Explores FinTech, AI and Payments

Line, an Asian messaging company, is planning to expand its business into fintech services and payments. So reports Pymnts.

Line is owned largely by the South Korean Internet company Naver. The company’s founder, Shin Jung-ho, said the move into fintech and cashless payments is part of an effort to “not remain complacent or stagnant.” Recently, the company said it plans to invest in AI and other financial services, as well. Line boasts 164 million active monthly users from Taiwan, Japan, Indonesia and Thailand.
