Lemonade Pulls in $300M in Latest Funding Round Led by Softbank

Homeowners and renters’ insurance company Lemonade pulled in $300 million after striking a deal with Softbank Group and other investors. So reports Forbes.

Although it hasn’t been made public, one source speculates the deal pushed Lemonade past a $2 billion valuation. The company, founded by Shai Wininger and Daniel Schreiber, operates in 22 U.S. states as well as Washington D.C. The company is planning an expansion into Europe and has set up a headquarters in Amsterdam.
