Europe’s Biggest Fintech Gets New Partial Owner

Europe’s top valued fintech, Klarna, will be partially owned by Ant Financial Services Group, of China, in an effort to improve their “online shopping partnership.” So reports Reuters.

china 156219 640smallThe pair is also expected to develop products together. Klarna is a Swedish “buy now-pay later” service backed by Sequoia Capital, the Commonwealth Bank of Australia and rapper Snoop Dogg. It is not planning an expansion into China.
