Chipper Cash, an African fintech with a background in peer-to-peer payments, just closed out a Series B funding round, including an investment from Bezos Expeditions, the venture capital fund run by Amazon’s Jeff Bezos. So reports PYMNTS.
The $30 million funding round was led by Ribbit Capital. Chipper built its base by processing payments in “Kenya, Rwanda, Tanzania, Nigeria, Uganda and Ghana.” They have since expanded their offerings to eCommerce, investing services and cryptocurrency trading.
