CFTC Commissioner Calls for Handling Blockchain, Crypto with 'Open Mind'

Rostin Behnam, a commissioner at the U.S. Commodity Futures Trading Commission, revealed he spent much time in his first year in his new post reviewing issues related to "disruptive" Fintech. So reports Cointelegraph.

In a speech to the 2018 International Swaps and Derivatives Association (ISDA) Annual Japan Conference in Tokyo, Behnam said he was surprised at the amount of time he's had to dedicate to the emerging industry. He also indicated a desire to avoid being a "typical regulator on the tail end of technological advancement" and said he wants to stay ahead of the curve.
