Winklevoss Gemini Exchange First of Its Kind to Win Top Security Classification

The Winklevoss brothers' crypto custodian and exchange, Gemini, was awarded a new security classification. So reports Cointelegraph.

ssl 2890762 640 smallThe custodian and exchange is the world’s first to receive a Service Organization Control (SOC) 1 Type 1 certification, according to Yusuf Hussain, the company’s head of risk.

The examination was executed by Deloitte. “Passing an SOC 1 review means that Gemini’s financial operations and customer reporting controls comply with requirements set by the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants,” it reads.
