Nearly 3 in 4 U.K. Consumers Can’t Define 'Cryptocurrency'

A recent study found 73% of U.K. consumers are unaware of what “cryptocurrency” is and could not define what it is, the Financial Conduct Authority announced. So reports Coindesk.

Men aged 20 to 44 were the most likely to identify the digital currencies. Of those surveyed, only 3% had actually purchased cryptocurrency. For those who did purchase a cryptocurrency, Bitcoin was the most popular.
