N. American Conference Circuit Brings Together Endless Stream of Experts, Innovators

The robust 2020 fintech conference calendar features events spanning the globe, with a number of notable gatherings taking place in a seemingly non-stop cycle of panels, experts and insights.

event 1597531 640 SmallOne such conference, New York FinTech Week 2020, takes place Monday, March 30 to Friday, April 3. Amid the discussions, the United States Commodity Futures Trading Commission’s (CFTC) three-year-old fintech lab, LabCFTC, will set up office hours for those interested in interacting with the commission’s fintech arm.

The move comes as part of an “ongoing effort to engage with innovators and facilitate market-enhancing FinTech innovation," according to an announcement. “Office Hours provide the FinTech community the opportunity to engage with LabCFTC in general conversation, discuss a specific question or issue, or give a presentation.”

LabCFTC represents the trading commission’s effort to promote innovation and equitable competition with respect to improving the overall health of the financial market, per information from the CFTC. “LabCFTC is designed to make the CFTC more accessible to FinTech innovators, and serves as a platform to inform the Commission's understanding of new technologies.” Contact This email address is being protected from spambots. New York FinTech Week 2020: The Rundown

The New York FinTech Week 2020 kicks off with an invite-only wine tasting event on Tuesday, March 31. After the drinks have been served and elbows have been rubbed, a plethora of events dealing with banking, blockchain, demonstrations and more will take place over the next few days.

  • April 1 at 8 a.m.—Empire FinTech Conference: New World Stages. “Hear from those forging new trails in payments, blockchain, lending, robo-advisors, insurtrech, real estate and more. In addition to attracting hundreds of FinTech entrepreneurs, this conference also plays host to the investors and service providers that help accelerate startups.”
