German Central Bank Head Lambastes Blockchain Amid Failed Pilot

Jens Weidmann, the president of Germany’s central bank, said despite its growing popularity, blockchain technology is not particularly impressive. So reports CCN.

A pilot program to integrate the technology, he said, actually made operations more costly and less efficient. Further, PwC France executive Pauline Kalfon warned the French central bank is unlikely to adopt the use of digital currency in the near future without the blessing of the European Central Bank.
