After 3 Years, Hong Kong Surging On Back of FinTech Week

Eddie Yue, the chief executive of the Hong Kong Monetary Authority, said the fintech sector is thriving in the wake of the territory’s inaugural FinTech Week three years ago. So reports Shine.

Yue offered the remarks during the 2019 Hong Kong FinTech Week, where he also highlighted some upcoming plans and initiatives. One such measure was the recent Memorandum of Understanding signed between the Institute of Digital Currency of the People's Bank of China and subsidiaries of the Hong Kong Interbank Clearing Limited.
