Trump Site Allegedly Hacked in Crypto Extortion Scam

Just a week before the election hackers breifly took over a portion of President Donald Trump's campaign website and threatened to expose “classified information” about him. So reports The Sun.

trump 1822121 640 smallThe hackers took over the "about" section of the site for about an hour. The hackers claimed that the president is behind the COVID-19 pandemic and has cooperated "with foreign actors manipulating the 2020 elections."

Representatives from the president’s campaign said despite the hack, though, no sensitive information was accessed.

The hackers provided two separate Monero cryptocurrency addresses where individuals can send the cryptocurrency. One address was for those who wanted the information released and the other for those who wanted it kept secret. Whichever account was higher would determine the outcome of the data.
